A fabulous opportunity for our students to showcase and demonstrate what they work on in class throughout the fall and early winter! Mindfully set in a fun and informal theatre atmosphere, this special event provides a ‘first-performance-of-the-season’ experience for our students 8 to 18 yrs in our live-performance programs.
It’s particularly a great opportunity for those students who are relative newcomers to performance training, and helps cement their learning and training so far, prepping them for the more involved/advanced
Get STAGEstruck production in the spring! This variety showcase is a purposely informal demonstration (no formal costuming or props or tech) and features a number of pieces in all disciplines – acting, singing, dancing and musical theatre. The Winter Showcase is a wonderful way for families to watch their young performers in early action, and see the kinds of things we get up to ~ really focusing on helping the performer create their character and performance from within without relying on all the tech and production layers we add on later!
This show happens in mid-January and sometimes happens at the Fairview Library Theatre or the Flato Markham Theatre, or other venues. We try to move this one around so students get to experience different types of theatres!
