OVATION! partners with several PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS & COMPANIES who audition and work with our students, creating exciting performance opportunities for them in various locations and theatres throughout York Region, the GTA and Southern Ontario! These artists are all tremendously talented, seasoned veterans who provide unparalleled training and performance experiences for our students. The memories and friendships that result last a lifetime. Each season is different and as opportunities arise we communicate with all of our students/families to let them know about auditions and plans!
Since 2003, hundreds of talented kids from across Ontario have performed with a professional cast and crew from (created by acclaimed Canadian children’s entertainers Judy & David). Each year a show tours to some of the most beautiful theatres in Southern Ontario, entertaining and delighting thousands of school children with song, dance, humour and wonderful stories.
How does it work?
Interested young performers audition at Ovation! Successful candidates must commit to all rehearsals and performance dates. Performers will attend classes in preparation for the tour.

What is it?
The Ovation! SUMMER PERFORMANCE COMPANY is an acting troupe comprised of high school students who will learn and work with professional directors and actors to create a workshop production of a play (or musical) for performance at summer’s end.
What will be involved?
Workshop-style discussion, rehearsal, thinking, planning and play production, culminating in public performance
Who should apply?
High school students who have at least 3 years of prior stage acting training and experience with live performance. Students participate in an intensive curriculum designed for the more dedicated actor – we give more, we expect more!
How do I apply?
Registration begins Feb 1st for current Ovation! students. Auditions will be held in April and May for non-Ovation! students!
Do you love to sing? Children & teens (8 yrs+) are invited to audition for the GLEE Vocal Ensemble to perform with the professionals in MOTUS O’s production of the Charles Dickens classic story of human redemption. This unique program trains singers to prepare for professional performances.
MOTUS O is an innovative, professional dance theatre troupe! And this version of ‘A Christmas Carol’ is unlike any you’ve ever seen!
Marky Monday is an award-winning children’s entertainment rockstar who delivers a high energy, interactive performance. He engages audiences with comedy, sing-along songs, clapping, and loads of crowd participation!
Marky’s rock/reggae style songs are upbeat, catchy, and have been recognized by the International Songwriting Competition, as well as the John Lennon Songwriting Competition. He also holds a Guinness World Record for the performance of his song “Hug The Ones You Love” for the Most Hugs In One Hour.
