Senior Acting Production

Each year our Level 4/5 actors have the opportunity to perform an adaptation of a short or full-length play!  We always choose interesting, insightful, thought-provoking pieces from the contemporary or classical repertoire, working with Canadian and international materials.  

We adapt pieces to create a fairly balanced training and performance-opportunity for every student. Our goal is to help our senior-level stage actors dig into a more committed training, rehearsal and performance program that challenges them on every level.  

Their journey takes them from concept through voice, movement, characterization, script and scene study and thematic communication, culminating in public performance in a theatre setting and sometimes on ‘tour’ for school groups.   

Each year is something new and vital based on the sensibilities and goals of our students.  We also invite Level 3/4 classes to do ‘opening acts’ for the senior play, so they see what they’re working towards through their own training!  Performing for an audience is critical to help young actors cement their growth and development, and the show each spring is always fantastic!
